MG SV Coupe

The handling model was used to confirm suspension characteristics and design, as well as crucially confirming wheel & tyre sizes.

The SV Coupe is MG's flagship model, pioneering engineering and manufacturing methods for future niche and volume products. Randle have been closely involved with the development of the current production car, and also in future higher-performance developments of the SV for both road and track use.

The project

Randle's Parameterised Handling Model was used from the outset of the project to confirm critical vehicle performance parameters, and hence the necessary suspension characteristics necessary to achieve class-leading handling.

Throughout the design process the models were continuously updated to provide an insight into program progress, as well as crucially allowing us to confirm the right wheel & tyre sizes early in the project.

Future suspension system developments for further SV variants have already been conceived, designed and optimised by Randle.

Component design and FEA.
